Hethersett Parish Council recognises the urgent need to respond to the climate change and ecological emergency. In April 2025 Happy Healthy Hethersett was launched, an ambitious, yet achievable, goal to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2040.

A green charter has been adopted by the council which is used as a guide in all decision making. In addition, the parish council and its committees have numerous other initiatives such as Rewilding, the community Back Garden, litter picks and medicinal blister pack recycling schemes.

You can read more about these projects and initiatives on these links and you can contact the parish council on 01603 917993 for more information.
