It’s all happening at the Back Garden! We had a good session last Saturday, a good number of volunteers turning up and the rain held off which was good! The front border has been planted up with lavenders, alchemilla mollis and verbena plants as well as allium and daffodil bulbs. The compost bins from the former Woodside School have also been reconstructed and just need a wipe down!
Interestingly, several new people to the village have signed up as volunteers in recent weeks, which is lovely. We welcomed one new family this weekend…they planted 100 English bluebells under the trees at the Village Hall field on Saturday, having also helped move items at the former Woodside school on the Friday.
The volunteers weren’t able to move the longer pergola items from Woodside on Friday as the truck wasn’t big enough but Steve Clarke from NCC has kindly arranged for a larger lorry to be available on Tues am so we will be back there to finish off! Thank you to our amazing volunteers!
