Hethersett Parish Council’s Environmental Action Team (HEAT), as part of its climate change agenda, is aiming to expand its tree nursery and create a network of local micronurseries. These nurseries will focus on growing tree and hedge saplings to restore and enhance Hethersett’s tree canopy.
Autumn 2025 Events – Volunteers are required to help on: Sat 18th October 25 at 2 pm
Walk, Tree, Tea – meet at The Back Garden (Community Garden behind
the Village Hall, Back Lane, Hethersett, NR9 3JJ)
Activity: A Guided Walk with Dr. Anne Edwards, collecting, identifying and processing tree seeds – nuts, fleshy fruits, winged seeds and ones. Stratification for germination. Seed sowing into root trainer trays.
Fun for all the family. Refreshments will be provided.
Donations of local tree saplings would be gratefully received at this event.
